And to my second venue.  I think I’ve found a fantastic one… It’s called the ASYLUM.   Now, I know… having your wedding in a disused lunatic asylum is not the first place that you would have thought of BUT the asylum was actually a grade-II listed site that was actually an old people’s home for the “decayed members of the trade” or simply an old people’s home for retired pub landlords.

Asylum’s Chapel is in Peckham, South London.  It is licenced by the London Borough of Southwark to carry out weddings and civil ceremonies and they welcome same sex partnerships.   The Chapel can hold up to 150 for a seated meal, or 250 for a ceremony.

I love the Chapel!  There… I’ve said it!  😀    It is an amazing space and it looks incredible.  I love the distressed walls and the stained glass windows.  The Chapel is unusual, quirky and fun… and that’s me… 😀    The Chapel is beautiful and for me it would be a wonderful place to get married and hold a wedding reception.  The building and gardens are a great place to take the wedding photos.

But don’t just take my word for it.  To find out more information visit the Asylum website http://asylumlondon.org for more details.

See you next week. 😀
